On Sunday I caught up Wolfox CAMS Le Col RT on one of their Sunday rides at the Milk Churn to have a coffee and a chat with them and to present Matthew Webber with his Surrey League Champion’s jersey and get some photos of the team.

Wolfox CAMS Le Col is a race team who’s aim is to nurture a fun and supportive community of riders, with a 50/50 gender split at their core. Whether a rider wants to race for the sheer joy of it, or wants to progress to the next level, the team provides a platform to support all types of riders, no matter their goals.

Matthew Webber writes; It’s been so good to see our team performing so well in the Surrey League series this year, achieving several wins and podiums over the year! For us, the main goal is to keep racing enjoyable, and I think we’ve built a strong, supportive community that allows us to do just that. Personally, my main goal in 2024 was simply to enjoy riding my bike and maybe win a 2/3 race along the way. Achieving both was incredibly rewarding, and taking the overall series win, both as a team and individually, was an unexpected bonus.

None of this would be possible without the many volunteers who give up their weekends to keep the league running smoothly, or Glyn, who puts in so much effort behind the scenes to make this series happen. A huge thank you to all of them! Surrey League races are always great fun and the perfect local weekend event to get stuck into!
